Gogos knit

Grandmothers in nine communities hand-knit beanies and scarves using wool the Trust buys in bulk, at cost.

02 · Buy

Corporates buy

Partners like M-Net and Standard Bank order in bulk for staff gifts, CSR campaigns and client events, at a fair rate.

03 · Fund

Communities are funded

R110 of every R220 beanie goes straight to the knitter, paid within days of delivery. No deductions, no waiting.

Our Story

From a grandmother's gift to a national movement

It started with a single handmade beanie, knitted for our founder Mike Walker by his grandmother. By 2010, 593 knitters were producing 30,000+ beanies for the FIFA World Cup.
